Representing Ecuador on the Global Stage: London & Paris Travel Trade Journey
In November, I had the honor of representing Ecuador and our brand Equator Expeditions at two important international tourism events in Europe:World Travel Market (WTM) London and a travel workshop in Paris on November 7. Attending these events alongside the Ministry of Tourism of Ecuador and PRO ECUADOR was not only a professional milestone, but also a deeply personal and meaningful experience.
World Travel Market London – November 4-6: Sharing Ecuador with the World
WTM London is one of the most important tourism fairs in the world, bringing together destinations, tour operators, and travel professionals from every corner of the globe. Being part of this event with the support of the Ministry of Tourism allowed us to proudly showcase Ecuador as a diverse, authentic, and experiential destination.
At Equator Expeditions, we presented itineraries designed to go beyond traditional tourism. Our focus was on immersive experiences, meaningful connections with local communities, and journeys that highlight the cultural and natural richness of our country. Sharing these stories with international partners reaffirmed that Ecuador is not just a destination—it is an experience that touches the soul.
Paris Workshop – November 7: Building Stronger Connections
Following London, the journey continued in Paris, where on November 7 we participated in a specialized tourism workshop supported by PRO ECUADOR. This event provided a more intimate space to connect with travel professionals, exchange ideas, and strengthen commercial relationships in the European market.
Paris became the perfect setting to tell Ecuador’s story from a different perspective—one rooted in identity, sustainability, and authenticity. Conversations went beyond products and prices; they focused on values, responsible travel, and the growing demand for destinations with purpose.

These events allowed us to demonstrate that Ecuador is much more than coffee, chocolate, or the Galápagos Islands.
