Historic Center
Our tour begins with a visit to the main churches (such as the Basilica, San Francisco, and La Compaรฑรญa), where we can admire the spectacular richness of paintings and sculptures preserved in these charming churches. Continuing through Independence Square, we find the Government Palace and Archbishop's Palace, where we can admire the ancient infrastructure of these colonial houses. From La Virgen del Panecillo, we can enjoy views of both the modern and old parts of Quito.
El Panecillo
Explore the colonial heart of Quito on foot. Walk down quaint cobbled streets lined with brightly colored colonial houses roofed in old tiles with balconies dressed in flowers, watched over by the winged Virgin of Quito sitting atop the โPanecillo.โ The โPanecillo,โ named for its bread-like shape, is a parasitic crater formed by magma from Pichincha Volcano.
Middle of the World
The โMitad del Mundoโ (Middle of the World) complex features a 30-meter-high monument located exactly at latitude 0ยบ 0ยด0โ,
giving you the unique opportunity to stand in both the northern and southern hemispheres at the same time. To one side
of the monument, a replica Spanish Colonial village offers leisure areas, gift shops, and restaurants. This site was highly
significant for the ancient Andean peoples whose โcosmovisionโ worshipped the unity of cosmos, nature, and family thousands of years ago.
We will also visit the Intiรฑan museum, dedicated to promoting and studying the nations that inhabited the equator area.
The museum features attractions such as a totem forest, sundials, an example Shuar home, and more.
Pululahua Crater
Just a short drive from Quito, Pululahua Crater is one of the few inhabited volcanic calderas in the world. Surrounded by lush green hills and often wrapped in a mystical mist, this unique destination offers breathtaking views, hiking trails, and a peaceful escape into nature. Explore its rich biodiversity and experience the serenity of a volcanic landscape like no other.
