Papallacta is a small town in the Napo Province of Ecuador, located 67 km east of Quito. With only 635 inhabitants (according to the 2022 census), it is famous for its hot springs, trout fishing, and highland biodiversity.
It also serves as a base for expeditions to the Antisana volcano and is part of Quito’s water supply system. Its cold climate and páramo landscapes make it an ideal destination for rest and nature lovers.
